Careers at Point Cook Secondary

The aim of the careers department at Point Cook Senior is to provide students with the latest information that will help them make decisions about their future career and life beyond school.

The Careers Office assists students with individual support and through the college Advisory Program.  Career counsellors are accredited trained counsellors that provide support including: career counselling, work experience, Career Interest Tests, Career Action Plans, School Based Traineeships & University & TAFE applications.  Students are also supported to explore subjects and course counselling, including exploring University Pre-requisites and ATAR scores.

Students seeking an apprenticeship are provided with pre-apprenticeship information and Structured Workplace Learning Placements.

A variety of resources are also available through the careers office, including: university & TAFE course guides, individual counselling and support with resume writing and cover letters.  All students are given an individual access login to access career resources such as Careers Tools, WIRL & My Future.
